Asreen Zangana is a filmmaker specializing in absurdist dark comedy, shot in part
human stop motion on super 8mm. In their body of work, Asreen explores the
relationship between the entanglement of still and moving images as it transforms
through various media, and takes shape to engage in a playful reflection about how
an image interacts with its spectators. Their practice delves into topics that deal
with the crisis of identity, neurotic manifestations, and anti-social desires.
