Nationality: Kurdish-American
I was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to parents who emigrated from Kurdistan to the United States in 1997. My interest in filmmaking started as a child roaming around the snow, developing stories and reenacting them to the snowmen I built, and the stuffed animals I collected (over 2,000, each with their own names...) I currently shoot on Super 8mm, and enjoy exploring themes of tense familial mishaps.
